The Village Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) appointed by the Village Council to manage the affairs of the Village. The Village Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Village, provides overall direction to and is responsible for the management, staffing, administration and operation of all Village Departments. It is the duty of the Village Manager to provide reports to the Council in regard to ongoing activities within the Village as well as evaluating services and making recommendations for the improvement of operations. The Village Manager is also responsible for seeking grant monies under the Councils direction and executes the Village Councils decisions.
Adam J. Umbrasas currently serves as Three Oaks' Village Manager. A native son of Harbor Country having graduated from New Buffalo High School in 2001. Before serving as Village Manager in Three Oaks, Adam served as Manager in Kingsley Michigan and worked for the Department of Neighborhood Services in Big Rapids Michigan. Adam is a Proud Ferris State Bulldog having studied Public Administration with a concentration in Criminal Justice there. Adam is a professional member of the International City Manager Association (ICMA), has served on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Local Government Management Association (MLGMA) and currently serves on the Michigan Municipal League (MML) Board of Trustees. In his free time, Adam enjoys fishing, boating and attempting to play golf.
